So it seems I'm moving offices again. After 1 year (on the dot) of leaving CSC/WA Police in East Perth and basking in the warm Bankwest Leederville bliss, I'm being shipped back!
In a few weeks my team is moving out of Frame Crt Leederville and being relocated to 199 Hay St which is waaaaaaaaaaay down towards the WACA, in the middle of nowhere. At first everyone was happy because when you hear 'Hay St' you assume its near the CBD - no sir-reee bob. You could see the gloom over the faces as they googled the address and realised they were moving to hell.
The powers that be continually claimed that its only temporary until the new Raine Square building is complete...........whenever that is. Its already overdue as far as I know and there are at least 18 months remaining. Hardly a silver lining in my view.
There were a few mumbles and gurgles from the guys in the announcement but as usual, cos I'm contracting, I can't say boo. The one bit of good news is the nearest lunch bar sells the ultimate chicken schnitzel burger and that sweet taste will be hitting the lips on a very regular basis - expect the waistline to grow even more.
So it's been bliss in Leederville but the honeymoon is officially over baby, its never gunna be that wayyyyyyyyyyyyy again.

Aye, at least you are 100m CLOSER to that schnitzel than I am.
You gotta get into Munch Terrace as well, awesome mi-goreng.
surely the CBD is just a short cat bus away? Could be worse, could be northbridge...
only someone who has never caught a CAT could say such a thing. All great in theory but faster walking! They stop all the time and are always rammed full. useless
All the buses down the terrace are free so they are a much better option but its about an extra hour a day travel for me. All for the luxury of working in a building 20 years older and falling down with NO PARKING!!!!!!
Northbridge is bliss compared to east perth, at least its near things.
yeah a bus or the CAT (bus is better) up the terrace isn't an option from here as it takes AT LEAST 10 mins each way into the city center. So thats my lunch break gone without even having time to eat :(
I walk past my head office each day to and from work to catch another bus to East Perth. 30 mins extra a day, at least.
Northbridge would be 100x better.
